What is STEM? STEM is a field of education that seeks to make topics like science, technology, engineering, and math all work together in a curriculum. The subject usually works on problem based learning and tries to have students think up of real world solutions. Furthermore, hands-on projects are essential in enhancing the experience. There has been a push to expand STEM and refer it as STEAM or even STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics). Either way, it is a wonderful way of showing learners that the world requires more than one skill in order to succeed. It shows that students need to know a little bit of everything in order to be adept in solving real world problems. Most importantly, STEM encourages teamwork and collaboration.
